Edensol promotes a session in Reus on youth labor integration and entrepreneurship
In the multi-purpose room of the Carme Civic Center in Reus and within the framework of the various activities organized in the Employment Fair, on September 20, 2022, a labor integration day addressed to young people was organized last Tuesday by the training company Edensol. In this space, young professionals from eight European countries gathered to debate and present their transversal proposals, dedicated to improving the employability of other young people. The proposals are worked on jointly with various companies in Europe, which join forces and perspectives to find solutions to different youth-themed issues.
Ideas without borders
The day also featured international speakers who contributed their grain of sand talking about initiatives at European level such as "Chat2Learn", which promotes and enhances the use of chatbot technologies in adult education, "Reset and Restart", which helps trainers to know how better young people can find their career path, or the project "Heart", which attempts to bring robotics closer to the education of students with special needs.
Internships abroad are very positive for young people, as it gives them practical work experience that they can demonstrate when returning to their country. This is the main objective of the "Tried & True" project, coordinated by Ici et Ailleurs, from Reunion Island (France) and 7 European partners from Italy, Cyprus, Ireland, Bulgaria and Spain. Part of it are Anne (Coordinator), Spyros (Microkosmos, Italy) and Vitlena (EDF, Bulgaria). The former highlights "the importance of being able to give opportunities to young people, that they have a broad perspective of mobility, doing internships in different countries". For his part, Spyros points out that "this project is very important, as it gives the necessary tools to young people to get a job", and Vitlena adds that "for us this exchange represents a great opportunity, we can share ideas and see how proposals from other colleagues work, and that in the future we can import or implement part of these ideas at home". The result of this entire meeting is to now develop a handbook of good practices together, once the problems of each country have been analyzed and differentiated.
Erasmus +
The Erasmus+ experience allows many young people to travel and learn about different cultures without the need to attend university. Aine (Foyle Int, Northern Ireland), highlights "being able to explain your culture to adolescents from all over the continent. These trips are like a snowball, once you visit a country you want more". Vicky, representative of Eurosuccess, Cyprus, adds that "in our case we also work with schools, migrants and even people who are in prison". She relates that in her experience "it improves your communication capacity and also connects you more with the people around you. Every time with word-of-mouth and work through social networks it reaches more people".
