Project Description

Creative Crafts is designed to build on the successes of the project 'cREative YOUth over 65' ID: 2021-2-IT02-KA210-ADU-000049061. 'R YOU 65' focused on the arts as a means for older people to express themselves. However, it did not focus on intergenerational contexts or the preservation of cultural heritage. This project uses traditional crafts as a powerful medium to connect generations, preserve cultural heritage and empower participants to express their identities.

Project Objectives

  • Amplify Personal Narratives: Enable older people to explore and express their identities through traditional crafts.
  • Preserve and Reinterpret Cultural Heritage: Encourage participants to combine traditional crafts with modern art.
  • Foster Intergenerational Learning and Collaboration: Facilitate meaningful exchanges between older people and younger participants.
  • Extend the Artistic Legacy: Ensure that the creative momentum of «R YOU 65» continues, inspiring new expressions.

Project Results

  • Narrative Craft Workshops: Facilitate intergenerational collaboration through traditional textile crafts.
  • Reflection and Sharing Circles: Spaces to discuss the emotional and narrative aspects of textile work.
  • Collaborative Textile Innovation Laboratories: Focused on the modernization of traditional textile crafts.
