Project Description

The LearnersMot2 Project, "Development and update of a digital tool for the diagnosis and strengthening of internal motivation in the VET Learning environment", is based on the premise that the participation of learners and employees, regardless of their educational level, in Initial Vocational Training (IVET) or in Continuous Vocational Training (CVET), must be closely linked to the preparation to achieve the maximum commitment they can reach in the virtual learning environment or in the classroom, to obtain the expected cognitive level and effectiveness. This is particularly important when the system faces challenges to maintain relevant and updated programs according to the needs of the labor market. The key is to ensure that programs are not only updated, but also foster an environment where both learners and employees are deeply motivated and committed.

Project Objectives

The main objective of the project is to develop new digital methods for assessment in the context of target group digital training resources to improve retention and attraction, especially of low-skilled adults in Lifelong Learning (VET) programs.

The sub-objective includes the adjustment and development of an innovative approach in extrinsic motivation that contributes to increasing levels of intrinsic motivation in the vocational education environment.

Project Results

• Motivational Profile Test and Model: A model based on the learning context in the field of Vocational Training (IVET/CVET), providing practical guidelines for action with standardized tests.
• Design and Implementation of the LearnersMot Digital Tool: Online assessment tool for VET trainers who perform the course and the test, as well as functionalities for testing at different levels (students/workers/adults, VET trainers or VET training providers).
• Update and Capacity Building Package: A module-based e-learning package for IVET and CVET educators or professionals operating or delivering distance/virtual learning courses on how to strengthen or awaken the internal motivation of their learners to complete education/training, linked to the LearnersMot Digital Tool that functions as a support mechanism to solve motivational problems in VET learners.
